Services
Whether it's a new build or a 1920s cottage in Freo, we handle every stage of the floor.
Traditional tongue-and-groove hardwood, top-nailed or secret-nailed and sanded in place for a seamless finish.
Pre-finished boards with a real timber wear layer, suited to slabs, apartments and fast build programmes.
Pattern floors set out by hand, with borders and feature inlays for entries and living rooms.
Full sand back and recoat of existing floors, including gap filling, board replacement and stain colour matching.
A light screen and recoat every few years keeps a floor looking new without a full sand.
Slab moisture testing, levelling and installation programmed around your build. [Add builder trade info.]
How a job runs
We look at the subfloor, check moisture, and bring sample boards to see in your light.
A fixed quote with species, grade, finish and timing spelled out.
Timber is delivered early so it settles to your home's conditions before laying.
Our own crew lays the floor, with fixings and expansion gaps to standard.
Sanded and coated with your choice of Bona finish, from matt to gloss.
We walk you through curing times and how to look after the floor.

FAQ
A typical home takes two to four days to sand and coat, depending on size and finish. [Adjust to your usual timing.]
Usually yes, though the rooms being coated are off-limits until the finish is dry. We'll plan the order of rooms with you.
Most finishes take light foot traffic within a day. Furniture and rugs need longer while the coating cures. We give you exact times for your finish at handover.
Yes. Engineered boards suit slabs well, and solid timber can be laid over a suitable substrate. We test slab moisture first, since that decides the method.
It's how much light the finish reflects. Matt looks closest to raw timber and hides wear well. Gloss shows off the grain but also shows scratches and dust.
